Join Alice and Jo for 'Unfold' -  A Weekend of Yoga, Relaxation and Manifestation in the Yarra Valley.

Our February Retreat focuses on 'unfolding' in any way that feels appropriate, useful and supportive for you. Throughout the weekend, Alice and Jo will be offering yoga classes, workshops, talks and meditations that focus on the art of unfolding, and how this process can form part of personal and spiritual development. Any interpretation of this material is welcomed, and you will be supported to focus on an area of your life, or on the experience of 'unfolding' more generally, should you choose.

Riverdale Retreat Centre backs onto the Yarra River, which will be available to you for swims, dips and rituals throughout the retreat. There are also some lovely walking tracks which you will be invited to explore over the course of the weekend.  Amongst the yoga, relaxation and learning, we will be nourishing ourselves with local and organic bushfoods, most of which are grown onsite.

Together we will be an intimate group of 14 participants, fostering a sense of community on our journey together.

Accommodation is in shared rooms (mixture of twin rooms and dorm).

This retreat is open to anyone who self-identifies as a woman.

Retreat commences at 5.30pm on Friday 16th February, and concludes at2pm on Sunday 18th February.

Compassionate Teaching - An Introduction to Inclusive and Trauma-Informed Practices

A workshop for yoga teachers and yoga teacher trainees.

Yoga can have a profound impact on practitioners from all backgrounds and walks of life.

Whilst popular media tends to convey the gymnastic potentials of asana practice, for many people the reason that they step onto a yoga mat is much more subtle and personal.

As such, regardless of whether you are teaching public classes or specialise in more sensitive practices, skills in compassionate instruction will strengthen your capacity as a teacher.

In this practical, hands-on workshop, we will cover what it means to approach teaching from an inclusive mindset, and why this is an important skill-set for professionals in the sector.

We will learn how language, instructions, class planning and theming can have the potential to either include or exclude your students, and discover practical techniques for creating a learning environment that is safe, professional and welcoming to all.

Come dressed for practice, with your yoga mat and with a notepad and pen.

Date: Sunday October 29th @ AYA Prahran
Time: 12pm - 2.30pm
Date: $45
