:: Mapping the seasons; Mapping the body ::
Join me for a four-part student series as we map the seasons and your body according to Ayurvedic principles. This student series is an embodied practice - each workshop is a 2.5 hour physical practice comprised of meditation, asana and pranayama.
The first workshop in this series is Cool like water, soft like Rain, on Sunday 14th January at Gertrude Street Yoga. Details below -
How does heat land in your body?
This 2.5 hour Workshop explores the nature of heat from an Ayurvedic perspective, where summer is understood as a manifestation of the dosha Pitta. At this time of year, the elements of Fire and Water collide, creating sensations of heat, passion, and sometimes depletion in our external and internal worlds. This Workshop dives into cooling, heart-focused sequences and Vedic teachings that resolve internal heat and open up space for tenderness, contemplation and release.
WHEN: SUNDAY 14 JANUARY 2018
